Dragon Boat Racing
The
Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Tuen Ng, is held each year during the
month of June, and there are boat races and celebrations held all over Hong
Kong. This is a very exciting time for both rowers and spectators
and training starts as soon as the winter months are over. Teams race their
elaborately decorated dragon boats to the beat of heavy drums and each boat
carries a crew of 20-22 paddlers.

Golf Courses and Driving Ranges
There
are a number of exclusive courses scattered around the territory, but
membership to a private golf club can be expensive. However, there are
affordable public golf course and driving ranges in Hong Kong, and there
are also several golf courses in Macau,and over the border in South
China, which are quite accessible from Hong Kong.

Hiking
Hong Kong's dramatic urban geography is famed
the world over, but few people are aware of the extraordinary natural
beauty that lies just beyond the skyscrapers. You don't need to travelfar
to escape the crowds and understand the seductive beauty of the other side

Hong Kong has protected almost 40% of its land
area and created "Country Parks". These parks are ideal for
hiking where trails have been cut out of the rugged countryside, and sites
and barbecue areas are providedThere are more than 20 Country Parks dotted
around the territory; on the south side of Hong Kong Island, Island,
Kowloon and in the in the New Territories.
The 100 km MacLehose Trail, the 70 km Wilson Trail,
the 50 km Hong Kong Trail and the 70 km Lantau Trail are but some of the
challenging trails on offer.

Horse Racing
Horse racing is the only legal betting that is allowed in Hong
Kong and is immensely popular. Thousands of people regularly
attend race meetings at the two Jockey Club courses; Happy Valley (on Wednesdays) and Sha Tin

Sailing
is a very popular leisure sport in Hong Kong
