This beautiful natural harbour is named after Britain’s
Queen Victoria and is a central feature of Hong
Kong. Victoria Harbour (sometimes referred to as The Fragrant Harbour), was the reason the British chose this
location to trade with China
in the 19th century. Today, Hong Kong’s
container port is the world's largest, and is still an important part
of the Hong Kong economy.
The Harbour
is busy day and night, and there is nothing to compare with the
magnificent views across this busy stretch of water, particularly when
viewed from the Peak at dusk.
